Omega WW ref. #14191 in Solid 14k Gold Item #2190 Price $1550
A very cool midcentury Omega in SOLID 14K GOLD! The great looking high polish 14K gold case is a good size for the period, measuring 35mm across at its widest point without the crown. The movement is the Omega in-house manual winding cal. 370 with 17 jewels. The original finish dial does show aging, but still looks great and far better in person than what you see in the photos. Our camera and light box really makes the aging stand out! That said, the watch looks very nice for its age and is perfect for those collectors who want their watches original. The dial features applied faceted gold arrow and Arabic markers and its original hands. An arrow tipped blued steel second hand really pops against the matte dial. The signed gold case is in good condition with gorgeous sweeping lugs and nice sharp angles. The Esay marks are still nice and sharp on the case. The caseback has a very cool presentation engraving - "Sales Leader C.I. Putnam 1951". When restoring this watch, we did a full service including a new mainspring as well as a new acrylic crystal. The case was lightly hand-polished, then ultrasonically cleaned. The watch comes on a new US-made dark brown Crocodile strap, ready to provide years of faithful service.
