Omega Seamaster "First Generation" ref. #2576-11 Item #2471 Price $1175
Here we have an outstanding, ALL ORIGINAL Omega “1st Generation” Seamaster from the very early 1950’s. Maybe from 1950 or 1951, very cool. You’d be hard pressed to find a nicer example of a Seamaster from this era in the same original condition!
This one is housed in a 34.5mm x 42.5mm stainless steel case. This hefty case features thick lugs and a wide, high polish bezel. It also features a period correct, signed Omega crown and a correct, signed Omega crystal. All in wonderful condition.
The silver dial is also all-original with a great sunburst finish. It’s accented with applied, faceted stainless steel markers and original matching hands. The hands show some aging, but at 67 years old they’re really more “beauty marks” than imperfections.
Powering the watch is Omega’s in house caliber 342 bumper-wind automatic movement with 17 jewels. We paired the watch with a top quality leather sport strap with contrast stitching, handmade in Italy.
In outstanding, original condition, this Seamaster has just undergone a full restoration. Using genuine Omega parts that are correct for the period, we replaced the Crown and crystal. Also replaced was the mainspring and the movement received a full service. The case was lightly refinished, again to match its original appearance and than ultrasonically cleaned. The watch is not only looking great, it is running great as well. That service would be over $500 in our shop.
