Tissot SeaStar T.12 3-Register Chronograph Item #2557 Sold
This one certainly speaks for itself. A Great Look!
This 1970's chronograph features one of the largest cases I've seen on a vintage watch in 35 years of collecting. It measures 42.5 mm without the crown and 50 mm lug to lug. Because it is somewhat square it looks and wears ever bigger. It features an outstanding black dial with white and red lettering. The dial is original, completely untouched as are the hands. The time hands are white with neon green tips and the chronograph hands are red. The bezel insert features applied, faceted steel/luminous hour markers and a red tachymeter border. The movement is a brother of the Omega Speedmaster caliber 861 and both were made by Lemania. It is fully signed, Swiss made and features 17 jewels.
The case shows some minor signs of use (it's about 50 years old). Overall a rarely seen hi-grade chronograph in great vintage condition. Fully serviced, the watch runs as it should and all chronograph functions work perfectly. The comes on a black leather sports strap with contrasting red stitching.
