Omega Seamaster Bumper Automatic C-1950, ref. #2635-7SC Item #2594 SOLD
Wonderful vintage condition on this Omega Seamaster bumper wind from 1950, reference #2635-7SC. One of the very first references ever to have “Seamaster” on the dial!
The case is stainless steel with a screw on caseback. It also features a signed stainless steel crown. All in very good condition. The case is a classic size for the period, measuring 33mm across without the crown, and 40.5 mm from lug to lug. With sweeping lugs and a high polish bezel, it really wears bigger than its size on your wrist. (Take a look at the very last photo for an idea of size. For reference, I am 5ft 9in and 160lbs) The offwhite dial is all original and in great shape for 68 years old! It shows just the right amount of aging. This watch features the Omega bumper-wind automatic cal. 354 movement with 17 jewels, micrometer regulator, and shockproofing.
We have just completed a full restoration on this timepiece. The movement was correctly serviced including a new mainspring, a new caseback gasket, and correct period signed Omega crown. We also installed a new signed Omega crystal. The case was very lightly refinished to match its original appearance, but mostly left untouched to preserve as much of its finish as possible.
This outstanding, original Omega comes fully serviced and ready to wear with a very high grade waterproof leather strap.
