Omega Stainless Steel 30T2 C-1944 Item #2606 SOLD
Very nice condition on this WWII-era Omega. The original condition, unpolished case is much bigger than most of the period, plus it has never been polished!
The watch is powered by the iconic Omega 30T2 movement with 15 jewels and manual winding. The stainless steel case measures 34.7mm across without the crown and 42.2mm from lug to lug and is built like a tank with a screw-on caseback. Please see the last photo for an idea of size (for reference, I am 5ft 9in and 160lbs). We ultrasonically cleaned the case, but we did not polish or refinish it in any way. The case looks to us to have never been touched, and we thought it best to leave it that way. You’ll see all the original angles and edges in the photos.
The Roman numeral two tone silver dial looks great with its sub seconds register and original matching hands. The watch also comes with its original crown. Lastly during service, we replaced the crystal with the correct style. A low dome for sub seconds.
The watch comes fully serviced including a new mainspring. It is running as it should and keeping very good time. It comes ready to wear on a handmade black leather strap from Switzerland. The strap lambskin and looks great on this vintage timepiece.
